Panakam

Panakam







INGREDIENTS:

Jaggery (powdered) 1/2 cup
Water  3 cups
Dry ginger powder (sukku) 1/8 tsp
Cardamom powder a pinch
Lemon juice 1 tblsp

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Soak the jaggery in water for 15 minutes.
  • Filter the jaggery to take out the impurities.
  • Add dry ginger powder, cardamom powder and lemon juice.
  • Mix well. Panakam is ready for neivedhyam.

PB&J Milkshake

PB&J Milkshake








INGREDIENTS:

1 cup frozen strawberries, or other berries (150g)
3/4 cup milk of choice (or canned coconut milk, for a super-rich shake)
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 T peanut flour or peanut butter (or other nut butter)
1/16 tsp salt
Sweetener of choice (amount will depend on your tastes and the type of milk you use)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine all ingredients and blend really well. Pour into a glass and drink.

INGREDIENTS:

2 tbsp cocoa powder (10g)
1 cup Mori-Nu firm tofu (240g)
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Scant 1/4 tsp salt
Up to 2 cups milk of choice (480g) (less for a thicker shake.)
Sweetener of choice: such as 2-3 tbsp liquid sweetener or sugar, or stevia extract to taste
Optional, for an even richer shake: 2 tbsp peanut butter or other nut butter, or 1 tbsp veg or coconut oil (If using the nut butter option, it will be even higher in protein!)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine everything in a blender, and blend until super-smooth.

INGREDIENTS :

1/2 of a large avocado (60g)
1 1/2 cups cold milk of choice (360g)
Scant 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch pure stevia, or 2 tbsp pure maple syrup or sugar of choice
1/8 tsp salt
4 ice cubes, optional

INSTRUCTIONS :
  • Avocado smoothie recipe: Combine all ingredients in a blender until completely smooth, then serve. Makes about 2 cups (1-2 servings).

INGREDIENTS:
1 papaya, peeled, de-seeded and cut into chunks

1 passion fruit, cut in half and the pulp scooped out

100ml/ 3 1/2 fl oz fresh orange juice

Ice cubes to serve

Extra papaya chunks and 1 orange slice to garnish


INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Place the fruits and juice in the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a glass over ice and garnish with papaya chunks and an orange slice
  • Serve and enjoy

Peach & Cream Milkshake

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of sliced peach

1/4 cup of milk

1 pint peach ice cream

3/4 cup milk

 INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Place peaches and the 1/4 cup of milk in a blender.
  • Cover the blender and blend it until smooth (app. 10 seconds)
  • Spoon in ice cream and blend again till softened.
  • Add the remaining milk and blend it again.
  • If desired sweeten it with a little sugar.
  • Pour it all into a glass.
  • Garnish this with fresh peach slices.
  • Enjoy this milkshake.

Carrots - 8 medium 488g
Celery - 2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) 128g
 Spinach - 3 cup 90g

INSTRUCTIONS:

Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.
